David Moyes is mulling over a £12million reunion with his former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa at West Ham, according to The Mirror.
The Japan international moved to Old Trafford from German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund six years ago and scored six times in 57 appearances over two seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson and his successor Moyes.
Now 29, he returned to Dortmund in summer 2014 and has netted 31 times for them in 139 games during his second spell at the Westfalenstadion.
West Ham will revamp their squad in the summer after a brush with relegation they now look like surviving.
Moyes is already running the rule over potential arrivals, as he is expected to extend his stay at the club behind the short-term deal until the end of the season he signed when appointed in November.
West Ham and Spurs, meanwhile, are both interested in a summer swoop for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
The Hammers targeted the 24-year-old Portuguese last summer after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Sporting’s William Carvalho.
Mauricio Pochettino is keen too, however, with Gomes open to a switch to the Premier League.
