Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham took his tally for the season to 16 league goals after netting a brace for Aston Villa as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Queens Park Rangers at Villa Park on Tuesday, January 1, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
In doing so, the England U21 striker has now scored 50 goals from 110 appearances since he made his professional debut back in the 2015-2016 season against Liverpool.
Though Abraham has yet to open his goalscoring account for parent club, Chelsea, he got on the scoresheet on 26 occasions during his loan spell with Bristol City, scored 8 goals for Swansea City and has tallied 16 goals and counting in the colours of Aston Villa.
On 21 minutes, the 21-year-old headed home, assisted by John McGinn, for his 15th of the season and slid home from close range to restore parity with 15 minutes remaining after Eberechi Eze had put QPR 2-1 up.
Abraham has an impressive goalscoring ratio with 0.45 goals per appearance since May 11, 2016.
