The Nigeria Labour Congress is currently in a crucial meeting as Council of States approved N27,000 as the new
minimum wage.
N27,000 has been approved for the new National Minimum wage and it will be transmitted to the Natl Assembly before the close of work on Wednesday.
The approval of the new minimum wage of 27,000 was one of the focus at the National Council of State meeting.
The meeting which took place place at Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja was presided by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Council of State is an organ of the Federal Government saddled with the responsibility of advising the executive on policy making.
The forthcoming general election and security of the nation was also discussed at the gathering.
