Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on Jordan Henderson for his performance in Liverpool FC’s 0-0 draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The Reds were forced to play Fabinho in central defence for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash at Anfield.
Jordan Henderson started in the middle of the park due to Fabinho’s positional change as the England international faced one of the best midfields in Europe.
However, the Liverpool FC captain held his own with an assured performance to help the home side keep a vital clean sheet.
The former Sunderland midfielder made 72 passes – 41 of which were in Bayern’s half – throughout the Champions League tie.

Henderson won the ball back eight times for the Reds, while the versatile midfielder completed four successful tackles in an all-action performance.
Speaking to BT Sport about Henderson’s performance mid-week, Klopp was quick to praise his skipper:
“A clean sheet without the big man – probably not a lot of people would have expected that. That was very good.
“Defending in general was good. And of course, Hendo did a brilliant job there, it was unbelievable how many balls he won back and stuff like that.
“It was a fantastic game from him – but that’s actually what we expect as well.”
Henderson will be tasked with helping Liverpool FC to secure a much-needed win against their bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday.
The Merseyside outfit will take on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at Old Trafford in search of a second successive victory.
Liverpool FC can move three points clear of current leaders Manchester City if the Reds manage to beat Manchester United in their game in hand over the Citizens.
