A group suspected to be members of Boko Haram terrorists are currently in a gun duel with troops of the Nigerian Army in Babbangida headquarters under Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State, fleeing residents have disclosed.

A resident, Saidu Mohammed, told SaharaReporters that some residents have since fled into the bush for safety.
He noted that the terrorists gathered youths in front of the emir's palace and preached their ideology to them.
Mohammed said, “The suspected insurgents shot sporadically, leaving residents to run for their lives.
“They broke into shops and carted away several items including food.”
