Following the Red Devils’ win over Villa, Scholes took to Instagram to shares his views about the result, and claimed that both Liverpool and Man City will be ‘worried’ about his old club.
The victory at Villa Park extended United’s unbeaten run to 17 matches, as they bid to climb into the Champions League qualification spots.
“Is it time for a couple of teams to start worrying about this team?” said Scholes. “I have a hunch they might be already."
Scholes also posted after Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot, despite the Portuguese international appearing to foul Villa defender Ezri Ko nsa himself in the build-up to the spot kick.
“Well then,” wrote Scholes.
Liverpool qualified for next season’s Champions League back in February, while United are still playing catch-up on the sides above them in the table.
