Tottenham press conference live: Mourinho on beating Arsenal, Alderweireld & where Lucas played

The Tottenham Hotspur boss is talking to the media after the north London derby victory against Arsenal

Jose Mourinho is talking to the media after the first north London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs went a goal down in the first half when Serge Aurier's loose touch saw the ball find its way to Alexandre Lacazette, who rifled a shot from distance into the top corner.

Tottenham were back on level terms though two minutes later when Son Heung-min seized on to a loose pass from Sead Kolasinac and chipped delicately over the onrushing keeper.

The home side found a second goal in the final ten minutes when Toby Alderweireld headed home Son's corner and it would turn out to be the winner.

Tottenham had numerous chances in the final ten minutes but couldn't find another goal to round off their history north London derby victory.

Our Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold is among those putting the questions to Mourinho in his press conference after the game.

Mikel Arteta is up first

"I'm disappointed and frustrated and really sorry for the boys. The personality they showed, nullify them and make them hit the ball long but with the two goals we gave away it's very difficult."

Toby Alderweireld has been speaking to Sky

"I think it's massive for us. I think we really wanted to win this game, you know it's difficult without the fans, it will be a totally different atmosphere but I think we did everything that we could. We fought.

"I think we did have a little bit of luck to get three points today.

"I think with the goal, because against Bournemouth, you missed a little bit of luck to get the last pass, so I think today we had the little bit of luck to get the 2-1."

Welcome to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Both managers will be through soon after that victory for Spurs in the first ever north London derby played here.
