A 16-year-old girl has remarkably graduated from high school a year early despite having a baby at the tender age of 13 years
The girl, Keilani J, head her daughter in 2014. However, she did not let the arrival of her daughter get in the way of her education.
She says she worked hard at her studies to catch up on the time lost when she had her pregnancy and in the end, it paid off.
The teenager took to social media last week to celebrate her achievement of graduating ahead of time after several years of hard work.
In a twitter post that has since gone viral, she said: “16 with a 3-year-old daughter. Graduating [from] high school a year early. Anything is possible.” Her tweet has been retweeted more than 28,000 times and liked over 64,000 times.
In another post on Facebook, Keilani urged other teen mothers not to give up, saying: "I just want to say to all teen mothers: you can do it. Please never let anyone tell you that you can't. It is possible no matter how hard it is. Please never give up and be the best mother you could ever be."
She received widespread praise for overcoming the stigma of teenage pregnancy. A follower said: "I'm very proud of you as a teen mom. Many teen moms couldn't have done it."
