After much speculation on whether the
father of American actress Meghan Markle will make an appearance on her
big day, Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, has decided to
walk his son’s bride down the aisle tomorrow at the royal wedding,
according to Reuters.
Markle’s father Thomas, who lives in
Mexico earlier in the week revealed to celebrity website,TMZ that he
would miss the royal wedding due to health reasons, nearly throwing a
spanner in the works.
“Meghan Markle has asked His Royal
Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the
Quire of St George’s Chapel on her Wedding Day,” Kensington Palace said
in a statement.
“The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to The Royal Family in this way,” it continued.
