Latest Chelsea transfer news: Marcos Alonso hint, Moussa Dembele wants move, Mauro Icardi boost

Hakim Ziyech is already on his way to Stamford Bridge this summer and Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will be looking to bolster his squad even further after a quiet January transfer window

Chelsea boosted their hopes of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League this season after a well-deserved 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Goals either side of the half time interval from Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso were enough to seal a much-needed three points for Frank Lampard's side, as they maintained their hopes of bagging a UEFA Champions League spot for next season.
And speaking of the Champions League, the Blues are back in European action tomorrow evening as they welcome German giants Bayern Munich to Stamford Bridge for the first leg of their last-16 tie.
But even though the Blues look in a strong position to secure a top-four finish this term, you can guarantee that Lampard will be aiming even higher next season, a prediction that can be matched with the addition of Hakim Ziyech, who will join the club in July, from Ajax.
With that in mind, here is a round-up of the day's very latest Chelsea transfer news.

Alonso's father hints at transfer move

The father of Blues left-back Alonso has hinted that the former Fiorentina man could be in line for a transfer abroad this summer, according to Sport Witness.
Alonso has faced a tricky time at Stamford Bridge this term, with opportunities proving limited, despite playing a key role in the win over Spurs on Saturday.
Although the Blues defender has another three years left to run on his current contract, he could be in line for a move away from West London this summer.
On his future, Alonso's father said: "I don’t know, it’s difficult to say. He still has a three-year contract with Chelsea, it doesn’t depend on him, but on the will of the English club. I can only say that my son loves Italy."
